The Whitcome Society

A defining moment in Xaverian’s history, Xaverian’s endowment grew from a little over $1 million to over $10 million in 2005 upon Dr. Phil Whitcome’s passing.  Dr.Whitcome '66 was known for being the leader on the Board, focused on long-term planning to ensure Xaverian’s future success.

The Whitcome Society—named in his honor—serves to thank donors who include Xaverian High School in their estate plans. Members fulfill their philanthropic goals by providing much-needed funds to support facilities enhancement and scholarships. If you’ve already included Xaverian in your estate plan, we would like to personally thank you and invite you to join the Whitcome Society. Members will be acknowledged in future Annual Reports.

“You get to a point in your life when you start to look back and think about the influences on your life. My entire Xaverian experience was positive and has had a lasting impact. I want to leave a legacy that allows Xaverian to continue to give young men a positive experience during a very critical time in their lives. If I can do that, I feel I would have made an important contribution to this community and to society. Remembering Xaverian in my estate is the way for me to support my alma mater.”
