Spirit Day Walkathon
On Friday, October 19th, Grades 6 – 12 will be participating in Xaverian’s Spirit Day tradition. While the Homecoming events focused on our Blue & Gold school spirit, we hope this is a day to celebrate and reflect upon our Catholic spirit of charity, community, and friendship
Middle school parents, please click here for more information regarding fundraising details and a schedule of the day's festivities. Middle school students will be dismissed at 11am, and arrangements should be made for them to be picked up at school at that time.
The day’s events will begin with a prayer service and assembly and be followed by a walk along the Shore Road promenade. There will also be a faculty vs. student basketball game, which over the years has become a favorite amongst the community. High school students will be dismissed at 12pm and buses will depart at 12:15pm. There will be no late bus service.
We are asking that each Xaverian High School family make a suggested donation of $100 in support of the Spirit Day Walkathon. Please note that all contributions to Xaverian in support of the Spirit Day Walkathon are tax deductible and you will receive a letter acknowledging your gift. All who give will also be recognized in the 2012 Annual Report. Please click here to read a letter from President Bob Alesi '78 explaining the importance of this annual fundraising initiative.
In order to donate, please visit www.xaverian.org/donate and select “Spirit Day Walkathon” as the gift designation. Additionally, you can send a check made payable to Xaverian with the student’s name in the memo line in to your son’s homeroom teacher.
The homeroom in each grade level which raises the most funds will win a full week of dress down. The one homeroom in the high school which raises the most funds overall will also win a pizza party. For every $100 donation a high school student submits, he will receive a raffle ticket to be entered to win a either a flat screen tv, XBOX 360, or an Apple TV!
