Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
We know that many of our families have been effected by the devastating impacts of Hurricane Sandy, and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you. Please find below information which we hope will aid our families as they struggle to regain some sense of normalcy after the storm.
Many people have expressed an interest in donating a monetary gift in support of relief efforts at Xaverian. Your gifts to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort will provide critical resources to ensure that no Xaverian students are denied their education. These gifts also aid Xaverian as we open our doors to temporarily displaced families as they wait for their schools to reopen. We project an immediate reduction in tuition revenue as families wait to hear about support from their insurance agencies. We understand that their resources may need to be reallocated to the immediate needs of replacing cars and repairing homes. We also know that some families will see such significant expenses that a Xaverian education may seem no longer feasible. In these tough times we will be increasing our Clipper Fund goals by adding a $300,000 Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort to do our best to ensure that no Xaverian students be denied their continued education. Donations can be made via our online Giving page, or by sending a check made payable to Xaverian with "Reliefs Effort" indicated in the memo line. For additional information, please contact Corinne King at cking@xaverian.org or 718.759.5719.

Assessing the Needs of Our Community
We want to make sure that each and every family and alumnus within our community gets the help that they need as they recover from Hurricane Sandy. To that effect, we are asking all parents, guardians, students, and alumni to please send us an email at reliefefforts@xaverian.org detailing anything they need in order to assist with the recovery process. We would like to know immediately if you or your family have any essential needs which need to be met (food, shelter, transportation, etc.). We are here to help, so please reach out! We would also appreciate if you could let us know what kind of donated goods will be most helpful. As we organize food/clothing drives and fundraisers on campus, it would be most helpful to know which items are in the most demand. Please also remember that our Guidance Office is an important resource which should be utilized by all during these trying times. Xaverian's Guidance Counselors are always available to discuss any issues students may be having as their families continue to recover from the storm.
Volunteerism and Fundraising
Xaverian students, parents, and alumni will all be involved in relief efforts. No amount of help will be considered too small, and all ideas to help our community will be appreciated. In order to assist with Xaverian's relief efforts, please see the below contacts:
