"Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress,
Working together is success."

Learning to succeed at Xaverian High School is learning to say Yes to all that Xaverian has to offer. Participating in extra curricular activities such as sports and special interest clubs will help shape students into the men and women of tomorrow. With so many options to choose from, the possibilities are endless. Xaverian's goal is to provide students with the opportunity of greatness; all we need is a Yes!

The Guidance Department serves the individualized needs of a diverse population by promoting the spiritual, academic, social and personal educational development of each student.

The Guidance Department consists of Social Workers, School Counselors, and a Psychologist. Counselors are available to meet with students before, during and after school. Counselors welcome the opportunity to meet with parents to discuss academic progress and post-secondary plans. Meeting with parents is a vital and crucial part of a student's personal and academic success. Students are encouraged to meet with their counselors regularly. The process helps students build a rapport with their counselor, promote dialogue and feel comfortable to discuss issues or concerns.

Our goal is to help students achieve success and obtain the maximum benefit from their high school experience. Counselors assist all students in assessing and understanding their abilities, interest and educational needs to prepare them to make informed positive decisions as productive members of an ever changing world.
