Nicholas Walsh

Prestigious Scholarship to continue studies at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals Emergency and Critical Care
Back in the states, after completing his undergraduate studies a year early from Cornell University, Nicholas Walsh ‘12 continued onto the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue an advanced Master’s Degree in the field. He is currently working as a student resident at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals Emergency and Critical Care. Most recently, Nicholas was awarded a unique scholarship by Dr. Stephen Ettinger, touted by the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) as the legendary vet who “literally wrote the book on veterinary medicine.” Dr. Ettinger personally selected Nicholas to receive a full scholarship for the rest of his studies at Cornell.  Nick reflected on this experience, “hoping to follow in [Dr. Ettinger’s] footsteps one day.”
