"Clipper For a Day": Buddy Days at Xaverian!

Xaverian’s “Clipper for a Day” is a program designed to familiarize prospective students in the seventh and eighth grades who are interested in attending Xaverian.

Currently, 8th graders are welcome to visit from September through December, and 7th graders are welcome in the spring from March through May.

The student will be introduced and assigned to a current freshman or sophomore and will accompany that student throughout the day, beginning in homeroom and following the entire day in the life of a Clipper.

Buddy Days begin at 8:15 am and dismissal is at 2:30 pm.

While on campus, your child is expected to follow Xaverian rules and regulations.

Students should be dressed appropriately in professional attire (boys: dress pants, dress shoes, collared shirt; girls: dress pants or knee-length dress/skirt, and dress shoes) OR students may choose to wear their school uniforms.

Please Note:

1. Due to the number of students utilizing our buses this year and COVID restrictions we have put in place, we are unable to extend bus service to our buddies. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause

2. Xaverian is following all protocols put forth by the CDC and local health authorities when it comes to school guidelines for COVID-19. All students, staff, and visitors MUST wear properly fitting masks (neck gaiters are not permitted) at all times. Nonetheless, the possibility still exists that your child may come into contact with someone with COVID. In the event that this occurs, you will be notified by Xaverian immediately.

3. All students will be asked to complete a health screening questionnaire prior to arrival. The form will be electronically sent to families prior to their buddy day.

If there are any further questions about the Buddy Day procedure, please contact the Admissions Office at (718) 836-7100, ext. 117.
