2023 Season Outlook

The Xaverian Varsity Girls Soccer Team has a history of long post-season runs, and the Clippers hope to keep that tradition alive.

After winning their fourth consecutive Brooklyn/Queens Championship in 2023, Xaverian lost the City Championship (capping their consecutive city titles at three) and the New York State Semifinal by a slim, one-goal margin.

Seniors Chloe Brown '23 and Kyra Sienkiewicz '23 will lead 11 returning Clippers and nine newcomers to avenge last year's losses and start a new win streak.

Returning 2022 All-League selection, Ella Kushnick '25 will bring skill and athleticism to a deep back line that returns center back Addison Brown '24 and left back Lauren Scollan '25.  Freshman goalkeeper Brooke Jioia is expected to make an immediate impact in goal along with fellow freshmen defenders Amelia Starace and Olivia Anzurez.

The midfield will be anchored by returners Julianna Javier '24, Stacey Baranov '24, and Julianna Puca '25 with skillful newcomer Grace Ferretti '25 competing for time.

The 2023 edition of the Clippers includes many versatile players that can contribute on the field in many different positions. Chloe Brown '23, Kyra Sienkiewicz '23, Lucia Schrripa '24, Ella Kushnick '25, and freshman Izzie Grimaldi bring a wealth of skill, athleticism, and adaptability that will make Xaverian a very difficult opponent this season.
