Michael J. Longabardi '91 has been a coach in the NBA for almost 20 years. Michael is currently an Assistant Coach for the Sacramento Kings. 
A graduate of Frostburg State in Maryland, Michael took the first step on his long and successful coaching journey at Division III Pfeiffer University as Assistant Head Coach before joining the staff at Adelphi University, where he helped guide the Panthers to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.  Stepping up to Division I, he won a Patriot League title and enjoyed his first taste of March Madness at Lafayette College.

In 2003, Michael was hired by Jeff Van Gundy and became part of the Houston Rockets staff; launching a long and successful career in the NBA.  The journey has included stops in Boston, Phoenix, Cleveland, Washington, and, now, Sacramento.  Along the way, Michael has won two NBA titles; one with the Celtics and the second with the Cavaliers.  While making 13 postseason appearances in his 19 seasons, Michael has coached many All-Stars, among them Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and LeBron James; each of whom was recently named one of the NBA’s All-Time Top 75 players.
Michael and his wife, Andreana, have daughters Olivia, 15, and Francesca, 12.
