William Zucker '75

William Zucker is a Vice-President in the LTE Product Unit of Alcatel-Lucent’s Wireless Product Division. He is the LTE Integrated Baseband Unit Program Vice-President responsible for the overall product roadmap for the digital assets of the LTE eNodeB. William has been in Alcatel-Lucent’s Wireless Product Division since the inception of Alcatel-Lucent in 2006 and he has held several senior management positions during this period including serving in the role of the Wireless Division’s Chief Technical Officer.

William started his career in Telecommunications at Bell Laboratories in 1979. The last 24 years of his career has been in the Wireless area where he has held Vice-Presidential positions in R&D, Product Management and Marketing. As a strong believer in continuing education and continuous improvement, William currently serves as the Chair of Alcatel-Lucent’s Systems Architecture Review Board whose mission is to utilize expertise across the corporation to assist projects in meeting their success criteria. William is also the co-executive sponsor of the Hardware Leadership Forum where best practices are shared across the hardware community within Alcatel-Lucent.

William also serves on the Board of Consultors for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Manhattan College where he earned his Bachelor’s of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 1979. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the School of Engineering at New York Institute of Technology.

William holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in addition to his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Manhattan College. He is a 1975 graduate of Xaverian High School. He is married, has one son, and lives in Morristown, N.J.
