Michael Costa '76

Michael R. Costa has 25 years of investment banking experience, most recently as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking, Cowen and Company, and prior to that at Merrill Lynch.  He has served as a financial advisor to numerous corporations/boards of directors in the technology, media, and telecommunications industries in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings, advising on transactions totaling in excess of $300 billion. Michael is a former trustee of Dean College and was a member of its Executive Committee and Chairman of its Investment Committee. He is an active member of New York Angels and a member of its board and has been appointed a fellow at the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center at Columbia Business School.
 
He earned his BA from Colgate University, his JD from Harvard Law School and was a 2017 Distinguished Careers Institute Fellow at Stanford University.
