Anthony B. Stumbo, Esq. ‘93

Anthony is an attorney, and is a partner in the law firm of Riemer & Braunstein LLP in New York, practicing in the banking and finance group.  He regularly represents banks and other financial institutions in structuring and documenting corporate finance transactions on a local, regional, national and cross-border basis.  In addition, Anthony serves as counsel to clients in complex bankruptcy, workout and restructuring matters, and he also performs transactional work for sellers, purchasers, lenders, and secured and unsecured creditors of financially troubled companies throughout the United States.
 
Outside of his professional career, Anthony most notably is a Knight in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.  He also serves his community as a volunteer at St. Edmund R.C. Church, C.A.R.E. (Credit Abuse Resistance Education), New York University Law Alumni Mentoring Program, and as a little league baseball coach.  In addition, Anthony was an on-screen commentator in the documentary Brewed in Brooklyn, addressing the history of the beer brewing industry in Brooklyn.
 
A proud member and Valedictorian of the Xaverian High School Class of 1993, Anthony was ranked first in his class and has remained active in the Xaverian community since graduation.  Following Xaverian, Anthony earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in Economics and Politics, with a minor in History, from New York University College of Arts and Science, and then a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.
 
Anthony and his wife Michelle reside in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and Westhampton, New York.
