William Zucker '75

Chairperson of the Board
William Zucker is a Senior Vice-President in Nokia’s Mobile Networks Business Group. He is Head of the Baseband and System on Chip R&D Unit responsible for the overall development of Baseband product platforms for Nokia’s Wireless portfolio. William has been in Nokia since the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent in 2016. He has held several senior executive positions in Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent, including serving in the role of the Wireless Division’s Chief Technical Officer in Alcatel-Lucent.
 
William started his career in Telecommunications at Bell Laboratories in 1979. The last 33 years of his career have been in the Wireless area where he has held Vice-Presidential positions in R&D, Product Management and Marketing.  He also serves on the Board of Consultors for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Manhattan College, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 1979. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the School of Engineering at New York Institute of Technology.
 
William holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in addition to his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Manhattan College. He is a 1975 graduate of Xaverian. He is married, has one son, and lives in Morristown, N.J.
