Freshman Boys Basketball - December 16th

James Schmidt '23
The Freshman Boys Basketball team lost to St. Francis Prep 55-51 on Friday.

St. Francis Prep raced out to an early lead due to a number of costly turnovers from Xaverian in the backcourt. The Clippers were able to limit their turnovers and move the ball around more efficiently in the 2nd half, allowing them to come back and tie the game. Despite a great effort, they ultimately fell short by a few points. Christian Hine-Stroza led the team in both major categories for the second straight game, racking up 20 points and 12 rebounds. Matthew McKnight followed up with 9 points and Cody Ng had 7, including a step-back three-pointer that cut the St. Francis Prep lead down to 2 late in the 4th quarter.

The Freshman Clippers next play Monsignor Farrell on the road Sunday at 1PM.
