The Freshman Boys Basketball team won 56-52 against Holy Cross on Friday.
The Clippers got off to a shaky start with turnovers against Holy Cross’s full-court press, but they adjusted throughout the game and moved the ball well in the 2nd half. With solid help defense and 3-point shooting, Xaverian was able to jump out to a lead in the 4th quarter and hold it steadily until time expired. Cody Ng and Christian Hine-Stroza shared the team lead in points with 18 each. Matthew McKnight also played a key defensive role, leading the team with 8 rebounds.
The Freshman Clippers will look to add to the win column on Saturday with a home game against Chaminade at 10 A.M.
