This weekend, the Varsity Girls Swim team defeated Holy Cross in a high-energy meet, bringing their undefeated season to a close, making it the first-ever undefeated swim season in Xaverian history.

This meet was the final dual meet and the senior night for seniors Milena Chiari, Tessa Chiari, Becky Flanagan, Sophia Garamo, Kelly Shashaty, Caitlyn Thompson, Sophia Virella, Haley Wager, and Sam Zaets. For several of the girls, this was one of the last times they will swim, so energy and team spirit were at a season-high. To honor senior night, the meet was made up of senior relays and girls stepping up to swim in different events, and all the girls really showed up to help accomplish an undefeated season. 

 

In addition to this first-ever undefeated season, it is also the first season every girl on the team has qualified for A Champs which will bring the girls' presence at the Nassau Aquatic Center on February 4th-5th to its highest. The girls have been putting in the work all season and will swim their hearts out hoping to attain a back-to-back GCHSAA Varsity City Championship!!
