JV Boys Basketball - January 27th

James Schmidt '23
The JV Boys Basketball Team lost 40-37 to Bishop Loughlin on Friday.

Both teams played very effective defense the entire game, as shown by the low overall score. Neither team was able to break off for much of a lead for much of the contest, forcing it to come down to the final few possessions. Tied 37-37, Loughlin hit a deep corner three with 30 seconds left which ended up being the game-winner. Peter Glynn led the Xaverian scoring attack with 15 points and accounted for much of the team’s offense. Mateo Perrotta pulled down a team-high 8 rebounds and recorded several key blocks down the stretch.

The JV Clippers will look to bounce back when they play Christ the King on Sunday at 1:45.
