Varsity B Basketball - January 29th

James Schmidt '23
The Varsity B Basketball Team beat Christ the King 64-58 on Sunday.

Despite being victim of some questionable calls by the officials, Xaverian was able to power through and come out with the victory. They scored the majority of their points through drives to the paint and passes to open teammates. Both teams were in heavy foul trouble during most of the game, so free-throw shooting was a big factor in this matchup. Riley Ilan led the team in scoring with 22 points, while Colin Mullin followed up with 10. Xaverian’s rebounding was led by John Gallagher with 8, while Aidan Moroney and Mullin each came down with 7 boards.

Varsity B will look to continue a great season when they play Stepinac on Wednesday at 6:30.
