Varsity Boys Basketball - January 29th

James Schmidt '23
The Varsity Boys Basketball Team lost to Christ the King 74-67 Sunday evening.

Xaverian’s taller players got in early foul trouble, which forced the team to be undersized for most of the game. Christ the King took full advantage of this situation with constant drives to the paint, converting on most of them. While the Clippers often responded to Christ the King’s scoring by knocking down three-pointers, they couldn’t get enough defensive stops to stage a comeback. Muhammad was the game’s leading scorer with 32 points, while Aaron Goldstein put up 11. Michael Walker led the team in rebounds with 8.

The Varsity team will next play against St. Peter’s on Friday at 7:30.
