The Varsity Boys Basketball Team lost 66-49 to Archbishop Stepinac on Sunday.
The game was naturally fast-paced, as both offenses took very little time in between possessions and settled for quick shots. Both defenses were solid in denying shots inside the paint, but they struggled to prevent the 3-point shot consistently. The Clippers were able to create plenty of shot opportunities for themselves, but a cold streak of not converting them allowed Stepinac to build up a lead in the 3rd quarter, which they held until time expired. Nasir Muhammad led the team in scoring with 17 points, while Don Colon-Lewis followed with 13. Colon-Lewis also tallied 7 rebounds, the team high for the day.
The Varsity Clippers will look to get back on track in their next matchup against St. Raymond on Tuesday.
