Kelsey Kuefner '23
The Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team took on Archbishop Molloy High School Wednesday night with an 8 to 2 win on their first home game of the season.

The team started out strong with a 2-0 lead, but Molly quickly recovered at the beginning of the first half. The Clippers took back the momentum led by freshman, and player of the week, Ella Kushnik, who had four goals. Junior Marin Crowley pulled through with two goals, followed by junior Darrien Pennachio and sophomore Ryan Shaffer each with one goal. Senior Valentina Fontana held it down strong in the goal, helped by the defense, shutting down almost every shot and dangerous players. Senior and newcomer Payton Salt showed off her speed and skill on attack, landing her with her first assist of the season.

The Clippers are now preparing and looking forward to playing at the Battle of the Verrazano this weekend.
