2023 Season Outlook

As we gear up for another exciting season, here is a glimpse into what you can expect from the Xaverian Girls Varsity Tennis Team in the upcoming season. With dedicated athletes, experienced coaching staff, and a strong sense of sportsmanship, our team is poised for success both on and off the court.

Our roster is composed of a diverse group of talented student-athletes who are passionate about tennis and dedicated to displaying Clipper Pride at every opportunity.  From seasoned veterans to up-and-coming stars, our team boasts a range of skill levels that promise to make each match an exhilarating experience.  Returning senior captain Stefania Arida leads a senior group that includes Vanessa Aiello, Jasmin Singh, Erika Volshteyn, Marin Crowley, Alia Danek-Vasquez, and Kerry Woods.  They are excellent role models for the underclassmen and are eager to improve upon last year.  Joining them will be a freshman group led by Number 1 singles Nicole Argiro.  This will mark the first time in program history, since its inaugural season, that the top singles spot will be occupied by a freshman.  The Sophomores and Juniors, led by Scarlette Markle, Lily Casares, Sofia Biagini, Aimy Kapllani, Chryssa Vavas, Polina Kitasova, and Kyra Neamonitakis, have all returned better and more determined than last year.

Our team has set ambitious goals for the season ahead,  fostering a supportive team environment where everyone can learn and grow as athletes and individuals.  Athletes represent Xaverian with pride and sportsmanship, both on and off the court. The team looks to improve upon last year's 10-2 record and hopefully bring home Xaverian's first city championship in girl's tennis.
