What Does the Future Hold for Our Clippers?

On Thursday, February 22nd, Xaverian’s sophomore and junior students welcomed guest speakers for the school’s newfound annual event: Career Day, a day that gives students the opportunity to hear from people from a variety of different career paths, including doctors, journalists, and entrepreneurs.

Career Day was created to broaden Xaverian students’ mindset on their futures. Especially in high school, students feel pressured to always know where they want to head in their future, but, not many are given the opportunity to explore career paths.

“I thought it was so much fun. Hopefully, next year, we can have an even more hands-on experience with the speakers and their career path,” said Bri Rosado ’26.

Xaverian was lucky enough to not only bring in new speakers, but to bring back alumni to speak to students. These alumni gave a good perspective on what it’s like to transition into the next chapter of their lives after graduating from Xaverian. The students were able to hear how Xaverian truly does prepare their students for what the future may entail!

The overall outcome of Career Day was nothing short of spectacular. Xaverian students and even faculty members were able to interact with different people from all different places of work. This day was crucial to help students understand that the workers who came to speak were not coming to explain the money or the benefits of their job. The Career Day speakers have shown the students that all that truly matters is that you love what you do!
