Athletic Tryout Information 26-27 School Year

Any student trying out for a sport needs to have an updated annual physical form uploaded to his or her Magnus account. For general questions about our athletic program, please contact Mr. Brian McCartney '04 P'26, at bmccartney@xaverian.org.

  • Boys Soccer

    Varsity and JV Tryouts 8/24 & 8/25 @ Aviator - 8 – 10:00 am.   Please email Coach Penta @ mpenta@xaverian.org or Coach Antonio Gaspar at agaspar@xaverian.org for more details.

    **There will be no Summer conditioning this year.**

  • Girls Tennis

     8/24 & 8/25 @ JJ Carty Park (Fort Hamilton Parkway & 97th St.)  8 am – 12 pm. Preseason practices will begin for all that make the team 8/26. Please email Coach Alexander Alfredo for more details.






  • Football

    Junior Varsity Mandatory Summer workouts:
    •  7/7, 7/14, 7/21, & 7/28 at Aviator Sports complex from 6:45pm-9pm. 
    • 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 at Lincoln HS 3:30-6pm.
    • August 17th at Xaverian at 1pm will be equipment distribution .
    • August 24th at Xaverian & Aviator from 7am-7pm begins pre-season football. 
    Varsity Mandatory Summer workouts:
    • 7/7 7,9, 7/14, 7/16, 7/21, 7/23, 7/28, & 7/30 at Aviator Sports complex from 6:45pm-9pm. 
    • 7/15, 7/22, 7/29 at Lincoln HS 3:30pm-6pm.
    • August 17th at Xaverian at 1pm will be equipment distribution .
    • August 24th at Xaverian & Aviator from 7am-7pm begins pre-season football.

  • Dance

  • Step

    Tryouts will take place on August 19th from 12:30 - 4:30PM. Please email Coach Stephanie Lorenzo for further details

    Clippers are encouraged to attend two STEP clinics in July. To register, please visit www.xaverian.org/summer.

  • Girls Volleyball

    Returning Varsity & JV Players - 
    8/24 & 8/25 in the school gym 8 – 10 am.

  • Boys Cross Country NEW INFORMATION

    A workout will follow sign-ups at Owls Head Park. 68th Street @ Narrows until approx. 4:15pm

  • Bowling

  • Girls Soccer

    Voluntary workouts will start July 6th 7-9am (Monday-Thursday in July, Monday-Friday in August) at Xaverian.

  • Cheerleading

    Tryouts will take place on 8/17 at Xaverian 10:30 am – 4:30 pm. Please email Coach Ashley Romero for further details. 

    A portion of the tryout consists of a cheer and a dance. For video tutorials of both of these sections of the tryout, click here. 

    There are also High School Cheer Clinics available 7/27 & 7/29 from 5-7pm in our gym. Please be sure to register ASAP as spots are filling up! 

    For all student athletes that make the team, there will be mandatory attendance for sleepaway USA Cheer Camp  8/23-8/26. The cost of camp is $550.
