  • When will I receive my iPad?

    6th, 9th, and transfer students will receive their iPad on their orientation day. 

    Students will be given a case and charger; they are welcome to purchase a keyboard and stylus for their new devices. 
  • Will I have a locker?

    All Genesis students will be assigned a locker. Students will need a combination lock for their lockers. 

    All returning high school students will retain their locker from last year. All new high school students will be given a new locker. Your locker and locker combination will be posted to your Harbor account by orientation day. There is no need to buy a lock, the locker has a built in lock. There will be time to go to your locker during your orientation sessions. 
  • What are the uniform requirements?

    Uniform requirements can be found at the top of this page. 
  • Is the fitness center open to students?

    The fitness center is open to students daily from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. 
  • Where do I eat lunch?

    Students in all grades 6-12, will eat lunch in the cafeteria or in Alumni Hall on the 3rd floor. Students are free to choose which location they would prefer to eat. Lunch is available to purchase in the cafeteria, or they can bring their lunch from home. 
  • When will I get my metrocard?

    Students who are eligible for a metrocard (based upon their home address) will receive theirs in their homerooms during orientation week.

  • What do I do if I am absent because of quarantine protocol or extenuating long-term circumstances?

    Any student who may need to request permission to attend classes virtually due to quarantine protocol or extenuating circumstances must email healthreport@xaverian.org. Students and parents should be aware that there can be up to a 24-hour wait period before permission is officially granted. Proper documentation must be provided. The final decision for approval of attending classes online lies with the administration. Upon confirmation that the student will be attending classes remotely, the student will have a # placed in front of their name on The Harbor which will alert teachers to admit students into their classes via Zoom.
  • How do I contact the School Nurse?

    Our School Nurse is Ms. Diana Mattison, RN. She can be contacted via email at dmattison@xaverian.org or at 718-836-7100 x.140
  • How do I find out about prepayment options in the Cafeteria?

    You can add money to your cafeteria account through myschoolbucks.com.
