Vinny Proscia is entering his 12th season coaching at Xaverian High School and his second season as the Head Coach of the JV Football team. Before coaching, he was a student-athlete at Xaverian (Class of '08) and a member of the 2006 Varsity “AA” Championship team. He later played Division III football at William Paterson University, starting in 22 of 32 games on the Offensive Line, and earned a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. His internships included positions at Fordham University, Iona College, and the New York Giants.
After college, Vinny began coaching at Xaverian and has specialized in sports performance training for over 12 years. His professional experience includes two years at Parisi Speed School and nine years as an Area Fitness Manager for New York Sports Clubs. He is currently pursuing a master’s in Coaching at Ohio University.
As head coach at the Junior Varsity level, Vinny's goal is to grow and develop young men on and off the field, preparing them for varsity football while instilling a new team culture. His passion for coaching lies in empowering each player through discipline and fostering character, confidence, and both physical and mental toughness.
