Flowers, Food, and Lots of Fun: Xaverian’s Spring Fling!

On May 8th, Freshmen and Sophomore Clippers gathered in the gymnasium to have some fun with friends, bright lights, music, dancing, and food at the annual Xaverian Spring Fling! Every year, the gymnasium gets adorned in floral decorations from blossoming backdrops to flowery photo booths. The event included a DJ, finger foods, and a way for Clippers to take their minds off school and enjoy themselves amongst friends.

However, a lot of work went into this event behind the scenes. Mrs. Jessica Healey, Xaverian’s Dean of Student Life and Academics, was the ringmaster of the event. She coordinated with members of the Xaverian community to orchestrate the party. Mrs. Healey expressed her hope that many students would come: “It builds community and helps people get to know each other...it helps people find other people”.

This mission was certainly a success, with students having great memories and takeaways. Reagan Burke ’29, who attended the Spring Fling, reflected how it was, “an awesome time and a great way to connect with new people…it really brought the community together”. Overall, it was a lively dance that brought different grade levels together and helped students form new connections with each other!
