Xaverian started out the first half against St. John’s Prep rough, down by 13 points. They came out stronger in the second half, with clutch points and defensive strides by Rylee Thompson, Lilliana DeVito, and Emma Brogan. The Clippers had the upper hand for a little while, but it all went downhill when starting forward Victoria Gauto fouled out of the game, followed by other pointless fouls and small mistakes that took them out of the lead. The girls continued with an intense effort in the final minutes of the game, unfortunately falling short by 5 points. The girls held their heads high, walking off the court knowing they gave it their all.
