Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,
I am pleased to invite you to attend our Heroes Golf Outing. The Xaverian Brothers gave our school a mission that includes a commitment to service. No one exemplifies this more than those who serve the public, risking their lives each day as members of the N.Y.P.D. and F.D.N.Y. It is fitting, then, to thank and acknowledge the service of the hundreds of Xaverian alumni and parents from these two great departments. The proceeds from this golf outing will allow Xaverian High School to continue our support of these families. We currently offer every family a $500 tuition credit annually and award four scholarships designated for sons and daughters of the N.Y.P.D. and F.D.N.Y.
In addition to supporting a great cause, this outing will be a great day. I look forward to seeing you there and thank you in advance for your support.
Bob Alesi ’78, President
The following funds and scholarships are supported through our Heroes Golf Outing:
A member of the Class of 1991, Dennis heroically gave his life rescuing others during the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. A proud member of Ladder 105 and a member of New York's "Bravest," Dennis was a top academic student while at Xaverian. His family established a scholarship to honor his memory, designated for a student in the Honors Program who is the child of a New York City firefighter.
Provides tuition support for the children of New York City Firefighters and Police Officers. The Fortis Fund takes its name from the Latin word for "courage" and reinforces Xaverian's commitment to provide an affordable, quality, Catholic educa- tion to young men and women from working and middle-class families.
