A three-year member of the Varsity Tennis squad, Andrew garnered many accolades during his career. He took First Place in the BQCHSAA Open Tennis Championships as a senior, was recognized as First Team All-City by the Daily News as both a junior and senior, took home a gold medal at the Empire State Games in both Singles and Mixed doubles and culminated his career by accepting a scholarship to Fordham University, where he played for all four years.
Levance Fields '05
After missing his freshman basketball season with a knee injury, Levance burst onto the scene as a sophomore on the varsity and never looked back. During his three years, the Clippers enjoyed unprecedented success on the court; culminating with the school’s first CHSAA NY City Championship in 2005. In that season, in which Xaverian also copped the NY State Catholic Championship, Levance was one of the league’s top scorers, averaging more than 20 points per game. He went on to play at the University of Pittsburgh, where his dramatic, game-ending plays in the NCAA Tournament prompted Pitt faithful to coin the phrase, “Survive and Levance.”
Oday Aboushi '09
Xaverian’s most successful football alum, Oday is still active in the NFL as a member of the Detroit Lions. His prowess on the football field, where he earned recognition as an All-Star by the Tablet, New York Post and New York Daily News, led him to the University of Virginia, where he twice earned All-ACC honors. Upon graduation, he was selected by the New York Jets. He has since suited up for the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.
Sai'Quon Stone '05
Sai'Quon remains, to this day, one of the most versatile basketball players to wear Xaverian’s blue and gold. Big enough to dominate inside, yet quick enough to beat anyone on the perimeter, he parlayed those skills into a dominating performance that garnered him the MVP award in the 2005 CHSAA City Championship game. In that season, he was also named to the Michael Jordan All-Star game and represented Xaverian at Madison Square Garden against players from all over the country. Having completed a successful career at Southern Mississippi University, Sai has returned to Xaverian as a much-valued member of the Varsity coaching staff.
