Varsity Baseball - April 17th

Vincent Oliviero '23
Xaverian Varsity Clippers defeated McClancy 12-2 on Monday, thanks in part to Pat Hassel, who drove in four runners.  Hassel drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the third, and a wild pitch in the fourth.
In the first inning, Xaverian got their offense started when Dominick Balsamo drew a walk, scoring one run.

Joseph Jenkusky led the Xaverian Varsity Clippers to victory on the hill. The righty allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four.  Jude Van Ooyen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Varsity Clippers smacked one home run on the day. Mateo Marino had a four-bagger in the third inning.

The team racked up 11 hits. Hassel and Joe Chelales each had multiple hits for Xaverian Varsity Clippers.  Chelales and Hassel each collected two hits to lead Xaverian. Vincent Oliviero ended the game with an RBI single to complete the mercy.
