The Varsity Boys' Tennis Team beat Archbishop Stepinac 5-0 on Monday.

The Clippers played exactly how they wanted to in their home opener to get their first sweep of the season. Fast-paced play styles across all 5 matches put pressure on the opponents and translated to quick wins. In singles, George Sfouggatakis, James Schmidt, and John Paskowski all handily secured victories in their respective matches. George Robokos and Giovanni DeSantis won 6-1, 6-0 in first doubles, while Bartosz Foremny and Vincent Parente won 6-4, 6-1 in second doubles.

The Varsity Clippers’ home opener was a dominant performance that was representative of the hard work they have been putting in so far during the season. Next up is a road matchup against St. Peter’s at the College of Staten Island on Thursday, where Xaverian will look to maintain their undefeated record.
