2023 Season Outlook

The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team has earned the opportunity to play in the City Championship game every year since its inception in 2017, and the 2023 team is looking to keep the streak alive.

Seniors Valentina Fontana and Saraye Jackson will anchor a strong and athletic defensive unit that brings experience and a high lacrosse IQ.  Junior returners Emilia Deliso, Anjali Jacob, and Colleen O'Connor will mentor sophomores Anastasia Vouvoudakis and Mia Guglielminetti and junior Claudia Zygmunt in their first varsity seasons.

Last year's All-League selection, senior Kelsey Keufner, will lead a young and skilled midfield, including junior Marin Crowley, sophomore Ryan Schaffer and freshman standout Ella Kushnick.

The Clippers will have many different player options when building an attack. Led by seniors Aryanna Agron and Jolie Avignone, first-year varsity athletes senior Payton Salt, Nicole Goldun, juniors Darrien Pennachio, Kassidy Baez, Lyall Berat, and sophomore Charlotte Muñiz each bring a different set of strengths and skills that will help Xaverian find the back of the net.

After winning the preseason 2023 Battle of the Verrazano tournament, the Clippers have high expectations for the rest of the season!
