When I think of the term “debate,” the first figure that immediately comes to mind is, and always will be, Michael-Scott Greco. Before we carry on with the praise, let's clarify one thing: his first name is Michael-Scott, not Michael nor Scott — it is Michael-Scott. Thank you.
To carry on with said praise, Michael-Scott Greco, or MSG, is the epitome of a hardworking, organized, and talented young man. Not only has he stepped up for the team as the congress and debate Captain, but he also stepped up as an individual by placing at state and national tournaments.
This year, Xaverian has been named the Congressional Debate State Champion.
What this means is, MSG captained the number one congressional debate team in New York State. Also, New York State is one of the most competitive states in the whole nation. So, basically, what I'm trying to say is that MSG is awesome. So awesome to the point that he's ranked top 20 in the state and will be competing in the National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

Personally, Michael-Scott has been a great friend and a brother to me since I walked through those blue doors in September. His motivation and work ethic has inspired me to be the best person that I can be. At states, it was really exciting to witness MSG semi-final and face some of the top competitors in the state.
This goes to you, Michael-Scott; I'll see you in Kentucky.
