Season Recap

JV Girls Soccer ended the season with a total of thirty-five team goals and a winning record. The team was defeated in the semi-final match against the first-place team, Molloy. Some highlights included a draw against rival St. Francis Prep, an overtime quarterfinals win against St. Joseph Hill, and a tough 2-1 win against Notre Dame Academy at Aviator. This Clipper team had to overcome a lot this season and were able to finish on a strong note. The team fought hard and played with heart, placing them third in the league. Clipper defense was solid all season, earning six shutouts. The entire backline and the Clipper goalkeeper played every minute of every game this season. Both midfielders and forwards put in work up top and were able to not only score goals but lock opposing defenses in their own half. The team was also successful off the field, helping to raise money for Cancer Research, participating in Xaverian’s annual Hoban Run, and doing great things in the classroom.
