Cheerleading has been a part of Coach Beyar's life since she can remember. 

 

Beyar has had a true love for cheerleading since the 2nd grade where she cheered at Blessed Sacrament in Staten Island. After developing a true passion for cheer, she continued to pursue cheerleading in high school at St. John Villa for four years. At St. John Villa, she competed all four years at Nationals for UCA in Disney World! During her high school years, she knew it just wasn't time for her cheerleading career to be over. She became a college cheerleader at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Cheering with the Hawks, she competed at NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach. After college, Beyar moved to Utah to continue her teaching career while working as an assistant varsity coach at Juan Diego High School, Utah.  

 

Coach Beyar has been working in Genesis since 2017. She wanted to bring a cheerleading program where students felt a sense of unity and pride within their school community. As she collaborated with Coach Romero, they finally created the first ever Genesis Cheerleading Team at Xaverian in 2021. 

 

Coach Beyar looks forward to continuing to learn and grow to develop the best middle school cheerleading program she can!

 

Romero has been an assistant coach here at Xaverian since 2018. She and the team have participated in various competitions locally and across the state. After three years of being an assistant coach to the JV cheerleaders here at Xaverian, always working with the high school students, Romero wanted to create something different. Teaching in the Genesis Program has really brought Romero and her students closer. After listening to the students wanting to have a cheerleading team, Coach Beyar and Romero have worked together to create the first cheerleading program in Genesis. Creating this middle school cheer team with her colleague and close friend has been nothing short of amazing.
