Francis C. Lupo ’68, the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Xaverian’s Board of Trustees, served with Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation (MCMC), an interest rate derivatives trading company, from 1990 to 2009, rising to the position of Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at MCMC, Mr. Lupo oversaw financial accounting activities in New York, London, and Hong Kong, directed the tax planning and tax compliance functions, and oversaw compliance with the terms of Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 404.
Prior to joining Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation, Mr. Lupo served with Ernst & Young from 1976 to 1990, ultimately in the position of Audit Partner. In this role, he served clients in commercial and investment banking, mutual funds, investment partnerships, and other areas.
Mr. Lupo is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After graduating from Xaverian High School in 1968, Mr. Lupo received a BS in Applied Physics in 1972 and an MBA in Finance and Accounting in 1976, both from Columbia University.
Happily married with two wonderful children, Mr. Lupo resides in Lincroft, New Jersey.
