Seniors Volunteer in Camden, NJ

26 seniors took part in the Urban Challenge Retreat, a poverty immersion retreat at Oscar Romero Ministries in Camden, NJ. Over the course of the four day retreat, students volunteered at soup kitchens, food banks, nursery schools, community gardens, and nursing homes, seeing firsthand the effects of poverty on those living in one of the poorest cities in the country.
