JV Girls Basketball - January 9th

Joya Moussalem
The JV Girls' Basketball Team versed a long-standing rival, Christ the King, at Christ the King’s home court.

Freshman Rylee Thompson made the first basket for Xaverian, tying Xaverian with Christ the King. The Clippers were down by 20 at the end of the first half, but they came back stronger and brought it down to a 9-point difference. The forwards showed good teamwork by looking for each other down low and assisting in making serval layups. With every shot made, the crowd cheered along with the team. Shots were going up, the players were all fired up, and they were all fighting hard for a win! Unfortunately, the Clippers couldn’t get into the lead, and the game ended off with Xaverian losing with a final score of 47-36.

The Clippers may have lost to Christ the King this time, but next time they will be ready to take them on and win!
