The Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Team opened the season with a 10-3 victory against James Madison.
After shaking the cobwebs off the first quarter, the Clippers found their stride offensively. Leading the team scoring was senior attackmen Nico Menegatos with a hat trick and four helpers. Senior Captain Danny McMahon had a hat trick of his own. Dylan Grossetto scored two second-half goals and junior midfielders John Imbriale and Tyler Selwood each notched a goal.
Defensively, the Clippers shut down the Madison offense entirely in the second half, led by Captain Chris Manzola, and Joe Bruno, killing off two penalties and not allowing a single goal. Goalkeeper "Seabass" finished the game with 7 total saves.
The Clippers look forward to the next matchup on St. Patrick's Day against Susan Wagner in Staten Island.
