Clippers in Space!

The Clipper Ship docked in NYC in order to allow our students to blast off into space!

8th grade STEM students visited the Challenger Center at the NYC Center for Aerospace and Applied Mathematics to perform a simulated space mission. After a pre-mission briefing and exploration of how toys work in zero gravity, students assumed the roles of communications officers, aerospace engineers, and doctors in Mission Control and aboard the International Space Station.

As a 6-12 school, Genesis students have all the resources of Xaverian's cutting-edge Michael T. Strianese '74 STEM program at their fingertips. STEM coursework in 6th and 8th grade, access to the state of the art labs, and instruction by highly trained STEM educators allow the middle school students to be exposed to the latest technological advances in education. Our STEM Lab, BioMed Lab, and Computer Science Lab expose students in all grades to STEM coursework and careers.
