Season Outlook

Happily looking at Fall 2020 in the rearview mirror, the 2021 version of the Xaverian Boys Varsity soccer team is full energy, excitement, and passion as they look to the season ahead. The determination started in the summer, as the boys met prior to the season, conditioning themselves and building team chemistry.
 
The squad will be led by captain Brandon Pender '22 in the backfield, along with his twin Ryan Pender '22 wreaking havoc all over the pitch. Our strong backs, Jack Doyle '23, Jose “Joey” Otero '23, and senior Nicholas Centore '22 will look to build on their solid performances from the prior JV seasons.  We are also excited this season for our senior forwards Gianni Bapteau '22 and Michael Twomey '22. With this speedy, shifty attack, the Clippers will look to provide senior goalkeeper Luca Perrotta '22 with some goal support.

 

The depth provided by our returning underclassmen adds to the strength of the program, highlighted by midfielders Sean Hanley '23, Leif Bostwick-Riddell '23, and Andrew Vaccaro '23.
 
Luke Schwarzrock '23, Daniel Firayner '23, Adam Wianecki '23, Jason Machado '22, Anthony Tranchina '22, and Thomas “TJ” Cianci '22 will push themselves and each other to get better every day.
 
The club welcomes two, younger newcomers to the team -- sophomores Anthony Benvenuto '24 and goalkeeper Rylan Belopolsky '24; and we eagerly look forward to their contributions.
