2021 Season Recap

The Girls Cross Country Team had a strong performance this past season. Most runners ran personal records (prs) by the end of the season.

The Freshmen girls finished first in the Brooklyn-Queens Sectional Championship, beating out rival schools like Archbishop Molloy, St. Francis Prep, and McClancy. Freshman Grace Lanier now holds the coveted title of individual Brooklyn-Queens Sectional Champion, and can boast being the third fastest freshman among Catholic high schools in the city.

The JV team also held their own, finishing second in the BQ Section and third in the city. The Varsity team, led by Mia Winters and Grace Lanier ran some fast times at Intersectionals. Mia and Grace both managed to qualify for the State Federation Championships this year. This is Mia's second time qualifying and Grace's first. Mia ran close to a minute faster than her previous best time at Intersectionals to finish in the top ten runners in the Five Boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester. In Grace's first Varsity appearance she ran a top-five all-time fastest time for Xaverian girls and finished in the top 25 among Catholic high school runners.

The team is looking forward to what they can accomplish in Indoors!
