Coaches

Dominick Aluotto class of 2012 was a two-sport athlete when he attended Xaverian. Playing Football for all four years and Lacrosse for every year besides freshman. Dominick was also involved in other things at Xaverian like campus ministry, chess club and was part of the XBSS retreat. Dominick went on to play one year of college Lacrosse at ASA College in Downton Brooklyn. Dominick now currently works in the New York City Department of Education as a Paraprofessional, while being a full-time college student attending CUNY School of Professional Studies. Dominick plans on becoming a History teacher when he graduates.

 

Dominick first started coaching in the spring of 2016. He was the Xaverian JV Lacrosse Assistant Coach. He spent two years as the JV assistant coach till being promoted in the spring of 2018 to Defensive Coordinator of the Varsity Lacrosse team. Dominick was the Defensive Coordinator in 2021 which the Xaverian Varsity Lacrosse team won the Single A Catholic City Championship. Dominick is still currently the Varsity Lacrosse Defensive Coordinator. Dominick started coaching football at Xaverian in fall of 2017. Dominick spent three years as an Assistant Coach of the Xaverian JV football team. In the summer of 2021 Dominick was promoted to Head Coach of the Xaverian JV football team. Dominick is still currently the Head Coach of the JV Football team.

Christopher DeMartino ’06 was a multi-sport student-athlete throughout his high school stint, playing lacrosse, football and swimming while being involved in many extra-curriculars including speech and debate, campus ministry, and chess club. He then went to college where he double majored in finance and accounting receiving his M.B.A in 2011 while continuing to play club lacrosse. After graduating magna cum laude at the Zicklin School of Business and years of experience in the financial industry, he transitioned into tech sales, becoming one of the youngest Account Executives at Dell Technologies.

His coaching career started with two travel teams for a youth program, the Brooklyn Crescents, back in 2013. After connecting with the current lacrosse coach at the time and sharing their love for the sport, he began coaching at Xaverian High School in 2014. Wearing multiple hats throughout the years, head coaching both Junior Varsity and Varsity while getting his certification as an athletic trainer and US Lacrosse certifications level 1, 2 and 3 to take his skill set to the next level, he ended up in the fortunate position of taking over the entire Boys Lacrosse program in 2018. 

During his tenure, he has won 3 championships while growing the Boys Lacrosse program exponentially year over year and guiding multiple student-athletes to obtain scholarships to play lacrosse in college for Division 1, 2, and 3. His involvement with our school doesn’t stay only on the field; off the field, he’s involved with Campus Ministry, Kairos and volunteers both his and his teams’ time to give back to our community.

Christopher resides in Brooklyn with his wife Jaclyn and welcomed their first-born daughter, Liv Scarlett in 2020. He manages to juggle a family and a career while staying heavily involved with our school. He has developed a team culture that will last for generations and although we’re not sure where he finds the time to do it all, as his mentor always told him, “Passion has a funny way of trumping logic.”
