2022 Season Recap

This year's Cross Country season was one for the record book! The Freshmen Team, led by Emma Waeldner, Bay Harrison, and Marietta Ayala-Dominguez, won both the Brooklyn-Queens Sectional title and the City Championship. They finished third at the Intersectional Meet. Not to be outdone, the JV team also came home with some hardware this season. They finished third at the Intersectional Meet as well.

Sophomore, Varsity runner, Grace Lanier, qualified for the State Federation Championship Meet. So far, she is 2 for 2 in qualifying for this competitive race.

Finally, this year, some of our seniors ran their last career cross-country season! The team is getting ready to say goodbye to runners: Sydnie Marshall, Amber Murrell, Pia Ezenkwele, Amanda Pluchino, Alessandra DePaulis, and Katrina Lim. While we are losing some of the leaders of the team, Xaverian's Cross Country program has grown in recent years to over thirty runners across all four years, and the future of the team looks very bright!
