Faith, Leadership, and Service at the XBSS Student Retreat
Last week, Matthew Krumm ’26, Sofia Bruzzese ’27, Robert Connolly ’27, Aiden Grant ’27, Mario Manna ‘27, Mattia Parrotto ’27, and Elizabeth Uruchima ’27 joined students from across the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools for the 30th Annual XBSS Student Retreat, a five-day experience centered on faith, leadership, and service.
Throughout the retreat, students were invited to reflect on what it means to live as a unique expression of God’s love. The week included group discussions, inspiring talks, guided reflections, and opportunities to connect with peers from other XBSS schools. Among the most meaningful moments were a reenactment of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, an act symbolizing humility and service, and a full day dedicated to serving the wider community.
By the end of the retreat, our students returned to Xaverian inspired and energized, with a deeper understanding of themselves, their faith, and their call to lead with compassion. We are proud of the way they represented our school and look forward to seeing how they continue to bring the retreat’s spirit of faith, service, and leadership back to our community.
Special thanks to faculty members Ms. Gallagher and Mr. Dormer for guiding and supporting the students throughout this transformative experience.
