Xaverian’s Athletic Legacy

Xaverian High School keeps showing that if you put the work in, it will pay off. The Class of 2026 athletic commits prove that this school is full of athletes who are serious about what they do and are ready to take it to the next level. This isn’t just one or two names either; it’s a whole group across different sports, which says a lot about the culture at Xaverian and how much effort these students have put in over the years.
A big name from this class is Sienna Bocchino ’26, who is heading to University of Mississippi to play softball. That’s a major accomplishment because competing in a division one conference like the SEC is no joke, and it shows how talented and dedicated she is. Along with her, Madison Pender ’26 is taking her game to University of Hartford, showing that Xaverian softball continues to produce strong players.
Baseball also had a strong group with Charles Rattenbury ’26 going to Ithaca College, Joesph Buffa ’26 heading to Alfred State College, and Justin Rotondi ’26 committing to Russel Sage College. These guys have been consistent and have clearly earned their spots.
In addition, soccer commits also shine from this class. Julianna Puca ’26 is going to Pace University, Kamel Sudol ’26 is heading to Baruch College, Grace Ferretti ’26 is committed to Baldwin Wallace University, and Ella Kushnick ’26 will play at Skidmore College. That many soccer commits shows how competitive that program really is.
Other athletes are stepping up in different sports too. Emma Waeldner ’26 is going to Middlebury College for track and field, and Oia Hughes ’26 will continue volleyball at Skidmore. On the basketball side, Callie Mullin ’26 is continuing her career at Mercy University, and she’s someone who has clearly put in the time to get to this point.
There are also athletes going into other sports that deserve recognition. Jennifer Fang ’26 will swim at Pace, Elizabeth Keane ’26 is heading to Marymount University for lacrosse, and Daniella Demarco ’26 is continuing dance at Iona University. It just shows that no matter the sport, Xaverian athletes are finding ways to keep going.
At the end of the day, this signing class is a big moment for Xaverian. It shows what the program is about and what it produces. This group set a strong example for the younger athletes coming up, and it’s clear that Xaverian athletics is heading in the right direction. The Xaverian athletic legacy will be continued without a doubt.
